OCS 2007 R2 - Cannot Sync Office Communicator
Team,
We are having issues on OCS 2007 and OCS 2007 R2 , users are getting below error message.
Cannot Sync Address Book error on OCS
Upon checking on the console , seeing below error message. Do I have to regenerate the adress book to resolve this issue ?
The Only change recently is we have renewed exchange 2010 SSL Certificate (not sure whether this address sync issue was there before renewing the certificate)
Can some one please assist me with your suggestions ?

Are you also facing issue with OAB for outlook users, I hope not, Only you are facing OCS 2007 clients. As per experience there is an explanation mark comes in below right corner in OCS clients and if you clcik their it redirect you to a MS link for downlaod
a patch. Have you installaed that pacth ??
If you are facing address book issue for all OCS clients then check DB server for OCS and share event log with OCS 2007 technet forum.

Hello Anil
Thanks for your reply.
We have issue with 0cs 2007 and ocs 2007 r2 clients.
Yes, there is an Expleanation mark right corner , when they click - we are getting below error message
Cannot Synchronize with the corporate address book. this may be because the proxy server settings
in your browser does not allow access to the address book
OR
Communicator could not retrive calendar or out of office information from Exchange web services.
communicator will automatically continue to retry, If the problem persists please contact your system administrator
Please let us know your sharings , based on your input I will check in OCS forums

You might get better results posting this in the OCS/Lync forums. There is a dedicated Address Book forum at

Hi,
Since we only discuss the Exchange issue on the pure Exchange product environment in this forum, I suggest you create a new thread in the OCS forum. Thank you for
your understanding.
For your reference, I have enclosed the OCS forum link below:

Thanks,
